Gratitude and You

Gratitude

It seems appropriate to talk about giving thanks as we celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday in the United States.

In his book The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles devoted an entire chapter to a discussion about gratitude. In this chapter Wattles says “Many people who order their lives rightly in all other ways are kept in poverty by their lack of gratitude.” He goes on to say “The grateful mind is constantly fixed upon the best; therefore it tends to become the best; it takes the form or character of the best, and will receive the best.”

WOW! What powerful statements. In order to receive the good we desire, we need to be grateful for everything we currently have. In this way, we are sending out positive attractive vibrations which will, by law, send us more to be grateful for.

Every night before you go to sleep, think about at least five things you are grateful for that day. By doing this, you are focusing your positive energy and will come ever closer to all the wonderful things you desire.

Some final words from Wattles…..”The law of gratitude is the natural principle that action and reaction are always equal, and in opposite directions. The grateful outreaching of your mind in thankful praise….is a liberation….it cannot fail….and the reaction is an instantaneous movement toward you.”

Let’s all be grateful not only at this time of year, but let’s show our gratitude every day!

May you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving and be grateful for the things you cherish.

  3. Yes! Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude, Oh to be grateful, consistently grateful for every little thing. Even grateful for things like doing the dishes, with out them , the cupboard may be empty, there maybe no food to make them dirty.
Thank you! thank you! thank you! Thank you Mother Nature for consistently and persistently showing us everyday how abundant you are, the flowers blooming again and again, new shoots sprouting everyday. How could we not realise how abundant you/we are. It’s right there in front of us everyday trying so hard to show us, and yet sometimes we fail to see.
    Namaste
